The 222 Portal and Mars Direct

Greetings, dear readers! I hope you are all doing well and integrating the previous Leo full moon’s energies. Astrologically speaking, it’s go-time now as we prepare to head into the busyness of March and its eclipse season. We do have a couple more lingering astrological alignments to tie up the month of February, though. The first of these occurs next weekend as we experience the 222 portal (February 22nd), which also happens to coincide with Mars stationing direct.
What can we anticipate for this portal date? Although Mars is leaving its retrograde cycle, it is stationed at the time of the portal, meaning it’s just shifting direction and hasn’t picked up momentum yet. While we can rejoice at having this personal planet finally moving forward again, it’s advisable to keep in mind that it ain’t quite there yet. Since we tend to feel these energies most strongly during the station periods, we may still feel some tiredness or sluggishness. However, everyone is impacted by this energy uniquely, so perhaps you will feel a surge of energy and motivation. Good for you! What a great opportunity to use that juice and get some stuff done.
Whatever the case, the numerology on this day has a baseline of the number 6. That’s true for the month/day (2+2+2=6), but also when we add in the year of 9, we still end up with a 6 frequency (6+9=15, 1+5=6). The number 6 holds the vibration of love, harmony and family (also appropriate for the 2), but it is also part of the Tesla code (3,6,9) and stands as the bridging number which links the physical to the spiritual.
As well, the energies of the 2 relate to, well, relating. That is, connecting to others through heartfelt experience. It also corresponds with balance, whether in relation to others or ourselves.
So what can we take away from all of this? The energies at the time of the 222 portal/Mars stationing direct are overarchingly positive and joyful. There is a spike of particularly spiritual energy (or codes, downloads, etc., however you want to consider that) available to us through this portal. This energy is very high vibrational and may have us feeling especially connected or linked with our Spirit teams and soul family.
This is a wonderful time for connection and communion with like-minded people. It’s a time to come together in celebration, love, harmony and appreciation for one another. This will also be a time that can highlight for us the areas of our lives which are a bit overcomplicated at the moment. Any aspects of ourselves, our homes, our relationships, or our general living that is overly cluttered, busy or complex holds the potential to block our perception of our connection to spirit. Thus, we are being asked to do a little “decluttering.”
Now is a great time to slow down for a moment (just a moment) so we can really tune in and hear what messages are being delivered to us through the divine. Since this day holds the energy of the 6, and thus, the bridge between the spiritual and the physical, we have an opportunity to receive guidance, insight, and inspiration coming from our higher selves and guidance systems. It’s up to us to ensure we are listening for those messages. Hence, why it’s advisable to clear away anything that may distract us at this time.
This decluttering also serves us because with Mars stationing direct, it symbolically represents the rebirth of this planet of desire and action. What previously (last October and prior) worked for us is no longer workable. We now need a new base of inspiration from which to take action. Rebirth is a beautiful thing, but it can leave us feeling discombobulated and shaky. If you find yourself feeling uncertain of what new steps to take or are finding it difficult to integrate these new energies, this is why simplifying matters will benefit you. Clear away all the mess and detail and get down to the simple and honest truth, however that resonates for you.
When you find yourself in a state of uncertainty and indecision, clarify what you do feel certain about, even if it’s something as obvious as, “I am breathing right now.” As silly as it may sound, this simple exercise can open the pathways of our minds and hearts to greater focus and clarity. As we clear the messiness of our slate, it gives the divine an opportunity to draw us a new picture and point us in a new direction.
The link is strong during the 222 portal and it may just be the case that we get a dose of inspiration we can carry forward as Mars regains its momentum after turning direct. I recommend giving yourself some space to simply be at this time, paying attention to whatever messages you receive from spirit, and allowing yourself to feel joy, love, peace and bliss – however that looks to you. Connecting with nature, even if just through your window or mind’s eye (hey, it’s still pretty cold in many parts of the world!) can also help us connect with these energies. We have a lot of intensity approaching in March, so take advantage of this delightful energy while you can.
