Thanks for sharing your intuition and expertise 🙏 I am feeling powerful energy with Uranus going direct on my IC, in exact opposition of its natal position. Opposite natal Mars as well. Like a ticking ‘time bomb’ that is accelerating. How very Uranian
Intense times! I feel ya. If your natal Uranus is near 23 degrees of Scorpio, then that means transiting Mars retrograde is also trining that placement. It will move into exact trine after turning direct. And the plot thickens! :)
Heyyy my north node 7th house Leo is right in the mix with the moon as well; the gifts keep giving!
On another note, I read or heard somewhere recently that the energetic focus shifts from south node to north node especially once the native comes through the Uranus opposition — do you have any thoughts there?
That's awesome! It will definitely help you release anything that is holding you back from embodying that North Node.
Hmm... I haven't heard that before. To be contrarian, *pushes metaphorical glasses up nose* I would argue that it really depends on the consciousness of the individual. Yes, Uranus opposition is an intense inflow of higher consciousness and can activate kundalini. HOWEVER, the majority of people on earth are in the consensus state of consciousness, so that energy is going to be channeled into projection and emotional crisis, such as the typical "midlife crisis." Whereas there are other individuals who are more spiritually evolved (no judgement in that statement, just as a descriptor of consciousness) who may have their North Node activated via different transits at earlier times in their life. I do think there is a level of maturity and depth that comes with the Uranus opposition though that may not be as likely earlier in life.
As well, just as with all facets of astrology, there are multiple layers of meaning within all planets, signs, houses, aspects, angles, etc. So one could activate certain aspects of the North Node earlier in life while still deviating toward South Node tendencies in other areas. Lastly, I want to mention that the South Node stuff 1) depends on past lives, level of trauma, particular lessons and karma that are still ongoing (again, highly individual) and 2) is not meant to be "left behind" but integrated as a means of wisdom and self-empowerment, used as a tool to assist with activation of the North Node. So at the end of the day (which is drawing close with this looong paragraph), the goal is to "ride the dragon." Rahu (North Node) is the head of the dragon and Ketu (South Node) is the tail. To ride the dragon, one must be in perfect balance between both. Then you become a master of yourself and your destiny. :D
And you have Chiron in Taurus, if I remember correctly. So that indicates a couple of things. First, your deepest wound, greatest discomfort, blind spot, etc. is something that challenges both your South and North Nodes. This would be the same thing as a T-square, which means Chiron is the apex planet, aka the point of release within the tension. Once you dig into healing that wound -- or rather, alchemizing it so it becomes a point of empowerment for you -- then you can access the gifts of the Nodes.
Second, Chiron in Taurus is all about wounds surrounding self-worth (and keep in mind, it's also a generational planet, so you share this wound with many others). The wound can manifest through issues with money and physical resources. It's common to either have an abundance of money that gets channeled into extravagant purchases (the dude with the hot sports car who feels the need to rev the engine wherever he drives); or the opposite, to experience a dearth of financial wellbeing, always stuck in a scarcity loop. I've seen both cases with different people and it's always a manifestation of a deeper sore spot, which is a lack of self-worth and self-love.
You'd have to analyze the other aspects to Chiron to get more info on that. For example, if it aspects Venus, the wound would also show up through relationships; or if it aspects Mercury, through communication and other people's perception of you; Saturn through authority figures and societal expectations, etc. The house Chiron is in will also give a great amount of info on how it manifests, but also how to heal it. With Chiron, the poison is the cure, so we must go deeper into the cave of discomfort to discover the source of power and wisdom that lies within our wound.
I'm willing to bet that Uranus either recently transited over your Chiron or is about to, so this is something being brought up for you regardless. Again, Uranus is the planet of freedom and deconditioning, so it will deliver higher insights that can help you transform the wound -- but it will ask you to step WAY outside your comfort zone to do so. The key is having to courage to do just that. 😉💖
Correct- Chiron in Taurus in the third house. The only other aspect in the natal chart beyond squaring the lunar nodes is it opposes Uranus.
Uranus was exactly conjunct Chiron in April 2023, and within seconds of squaring my lunar nodes, when I traveled to Ireland the first time. Trip ended up being a massive change marker/catalyst in my life - looking back it also happened during a solar eclipse, with Pluto exactly conjunct my ascendant (and trining the eclipse).
I noticed something interesting in the exercise of tracking previous transits - Uranus actually came within seconds of opposing to my natal Uranus from June-September of 2023, before finally opposing it directly almost a year later in May 2024, retrograding back over it this January, and opposing it directly a final time later this month. It’s been in action for a much longer timeframe than I realized. Interesting - will be visiting Ireland again in two weeks during the final opposition

Agree with everything you wrote through the days’ end.
Dragonwise then, the balance point for me is Chiron, as it squares my lunar nodes.
